Presentations at the pre-conference

In the JURE pre-conference, all junior researchers of EARLI (whether doctorate students, young/beginning researchers or newly qualified doctors) can present their research in the form of papers, posters or roundtable discussions. This conference gives you the opportunity to:

  1. discuss your research with internationally recognised scholars or senior researchers
  2. share your research concerns with researchers from all over the Europe and even beyond
  3. receive feedback on your presentation and your project design.

There are no restrictions regarding topic. However, the topic should be related to the overall theme of the conference "Learning as a focus, process and outcome". JURE especially welcomes students to submit a full paper. In general, preference will be given to full papers that present research data. Research proposals, design, data analysis, theoretical, or methodological issues are well suited for round table discussion. Poster presentations will be dedicated to research in progress.

Although JURE strives to accept all proposed presentations, there is limited capacity for full paper presentations (21) and round table discussions (8) JURE reserves the right to offer an alternative presentation format.

The junior and senior reviewers will nominate papers and posters for the pre-conference awards. A jury of junior researchers will evaluate the paper and poster presentations of the nominees during the conference. The best paper and poster will receive the award for "JURE 2007 best paper" and "JURE 2007 best poster" and these will be presented at the General Assembly during the main EARLI conference.
